THE THOUGHT FOR THE EVENING IS....
The joy of life consists in the exercise of one's energies,
continual growth, constant change,
the enjoyment of every new experience.
To stop means simply to die.
The eternal mistake of mankind is to set up an attainable ideal.

I like it...it's true and a good reminder to stay in the moment as much as possible.
Have a lovely night,

what an interesing quote, from a very interesting, curious, bizarre and some would say frightening person, then others would say something less complimentary!
Crowley, reminds me, I used to have his book of Magic...somewhere...or did he spell it Majic, yes, I think so...
Anyway, I was warned not to dabble with it, as Crowley was a bit naughty and used to put things in that could cause problems, if you didn't know what you were doing.
Some believe in him...some don't!
Anyway, nice to read something positive and also a truism, going by human nature.
Cheers

I hadn't heard of Aleister Crowley so I looked him up, he definitely sounds like an interesting character.
I liked your spelling error, AE

wow! I never realised that! He actually put the warning in the back?!!
I had heard from an occultist friend that he had a bizarre sense of humour for want of a btter description, and that one of the couses he staid in, rural france, an old farm house, was said to have become "inhabited" by spirits and no one could stay the night anymore. This was explained as being a result of his carelss attitude to summoning spiritual energies into the mortal plain, wihtout any regard as to what they were or returning them.
He was also regarded as a charlatin, and a possible murderer!
Anyhoo, interesting and thought provoking post indeed, brought up memories for me, and now I want to know what happened to my book!!??!!
cheers
