Poetry is so hard to define ...
But if I had to?
I'd style it:
The language of lovers.
Because it encompasses everything lovers go through together (or apart), and it isn't limited to just human love.

I agree.. to me poetry is the language of lovers, but it is also so much more than that...the thrill I get seeing finely placed words on a page, the imagery conjured up...its like taking a little holiday from day to day life just for however long it takes to read..and some poems I read over and over and over and it takes ages x
