I have not heard of him in years. I remember his books...vaguely..., he was my (and my close pals), great hallucinogenic sage! Such an amazing read, yet most of us were too chicken to drop acid, mescalin, or mushies (peyote buttons in his case) and then just shut your eyes for the whole trip!! MUCH too scary that experience!!
The "Teachings of Don Juan" the "Journey to Ixtlan" and a "A Separate Reality" were the tripper's handbooks and bibles back in the psychedelia days of the seventies in Sydney!

I am staying with a friend who has all of the books...that I think I read in my mispent youth, if that makes sense?
I was also a little too chicken to take it quite so far........but on the other hand still seem to have managed to dim my memories to some extent.......
