As my father slowly ebbs away from this life into the next, I have been doing quite a bit of emotional de-toxing recently... particularly working with denial and where I may be harbouring it ... this comment is so apt. .. and like the alcoholic we stumble on, convinced we have it all under control ...realisation the only antidote.
