this is true, but I think depression (in legal amounts) is necessary. It allows us the time to integrate those incredible hurts and heal from them.
Without this 'down-time' I don't know if we could function.
Of course I blame long term depression on the fact that the comsumerist lifestyle we lead is killing many of us younger than our physical age?
