The Glass Palace By Amitav Ghosh

Amitav Ghosh is on of my favourite authors at the moment. He does something in his books that westerns authers do not and I ma not even sure what to call that thing but it makes a differnce. Besides that unexplainable there are a lot of concrete things going for this novel. It is a story about the royal family of Burma as it was at the time. How they were taken from power and exciled when Burma was invaded.
This novel like everything Mr Ghosh has put his hand to is a very good read. Extreemly well written and enjoyable. The story is set between India and Burma scenes that are not farmiliar but they are painted in a clear and also beautiful way.
My recommendation is to get every Ghosh book you can get your hands on and read it they are wonderful
