this place was mad, remote dead end cape, lots of seals on the side of the road, no civilization then this mad little town with more bulldozers than houses and no where to eat or drink or pee or...................
*lol* whereabout is it? I am intrigued now! I went to a tiny little town like this near Penzance, UK - dunno if you know it.....called Mousehole - there are more boats there than there are people, in fact I never saw so much as a curious eye at a window when I was there. Was the cutest little fishing town .. they have their romance these places...but when you have your needs, you have your needs
Ok, its the road to cape palliser in the Wairapa, few hours from Wellington on the nth island, really rugged beautiful and off the beaten track.... Really Long Link
When I travel I alway deviate off the tourist track, although I HAD to go to Transylvania when I was in Romania I just HAD to...........
Excellent , thanks for the link am checking it out as we speak. LOve travelling off the beaten track....that is what it is all about!
Ahhhh Romania, Poland....that whole part of the world...love it! Always wanted to work in a Kibbutz, however now may not be the ideal time!
Happy travels look forward to seeing more of your 'off the beaten track' photos
Ahh - you've made me homesick. Not for the bulldozers -which, by the way there are PLENTY of blighting the Australian landscape here and there - but for those hills. The green green hills ...
This is very tongue in cheek and isnt how I think of NZ. Had a very "silly" day yesterday.
I love NZ I had worked on the South Island several time but only been to New Plymouth and Auckland for work on the Nth Island. I was fortunate enough to spend a few months based out of Wellington a little while back and got to explore the North Island a little more. A good friend lives at Hawkes Bay, now that's a lovely spot! Did the quad bike out to Cape Kidnapper and all that (photo's accidentally got erased).
Anyhow this little bach was also on the road to Cape Palliser and I was tempted to go knock on the road and move in!
