IS GENUFLECTION A GENUINE REFLECTION OF PIETY & RESPECT...................... .. OR MERELY A SELF-SERVING PLATITUDE OF GRATITUDE?
MISS NOMER MAINTAINS THERE IS NO MORE PIOUS EXPRESSION OF SERVILE ENCUMBERANCE THAN SELF-FLAGGELATION......... THERE CAN BE NO MISINTERPRETATION OF SUCH A DEVOUT ENTREATY..........

In my limited study of religion, adoration and worship ... I was always led to believe that because human beings are composed of both body and soul and (apart from inner locutions, raptures, ecstasies, levitations, bilocations etc) humans perceive most things through their five exterior senses ... and therefore, exterior actions of devotion (such as genuflecting) ... are merely an aid to developing or maintaining inner sentiments of piety ... (or, if poorly executed, reflections of one's lack of it ...? ... *** ...
As to self-flagellation? ... Who needs a whip? ... ***

Seriously now......I'm a feeling a little frisky today.........
Must settle, take a breath, scold my saucy synapses.....now where were we...............
Miss Nomer has no interest's of a religious persuasion nor any preference's, prejudices or pre-delictions........
T'was merely a trifling with words, a musing on the seemingly requisite forms of prostrating or otherwise performing rituals to appease a perceived or otherwise conceived deity of our choosing or not......
